Shift Pattern: 37 hours per week am/pm rotating - Monday - Thursday 06:00 -13:45/13:45 - 01:30 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break
Salary: £16.77 per hour plus shift pay £564.60 per month
We have a vacancy for a CNC Universal Grinder.
Role Accountabilities:
- Setting and Operating Universal Grinding machines/ring grinders/surface grinding
- Setting Tools
- Updating basic maintenance on machines (TPM)
- Working to 5S standard in the area
- Safe handling of components, jigs and fixtures
Person Specification:
- 5 years’ experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role
- Apprentice trained – preferred or demonstrated relevant experience
- Experience of Jones and Shipman Universal Grinding machines, Herald Internal Grinding
machines, Ring Grinding machines and Jones and Shipman Surface Grinding machines
- Ability to read drawings/specifications
- Ability to use inspection equipment and inspect your own work
- Working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment
- Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation
- Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook
- Able to get on with others and be a team-player
- Attention to detail and accuracy at all times
- Working to deadlines
- Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary
